About

Photo of Rosie Gochnour Serago

Rosie is a writer, designer, and content strategist with expertise in place-based storytelling, print and digital publishing, content marketing, sustainable tourism, and creative approaches to building community.

She has led projects that elevate the voices of many distinct communities — from tiny rural towns and cattle ranchers to Mormon feminists and BIPOC entrepreneurs.

Rosie is a sixth-generation Utahn who descends from handcart-pulling pioneers and early Pony Express riders. As a result, she is drawn to stories of migration, adaptation and “home-making,” advocating for environmental protection and sustainable tourism, and creative approaches to building more vibrant communities.

Rosie spent a decade in the public sector, including many years creating content for the Utah Office of Tourism. She led the nationally-recognized redesign of VisitUtah.com and produced storytelling for the “Keep Utah Forever Mighty” sustainable tourism campaign.

Now, she splits time between raising her beautiful son, Jethro, and providing contract creative services.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for Grand Staircase Escalante Partners.

She has lived and worked in Arizona, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.

In her personal time, she enjoys playing soccer, strolling downtown to acquire baked goods and drinks, planning West Desert adventures, and checking in on her neighbors.
